The Art of Amy Crehore

Snake Tamer’s Ditty

Amy Crehore’s paintings have a lovely innocence. The colours are warm and evoke island ambience (the heat, the breeze, the sound of waves crashing on the shore). But most entrancingly is the way she draws the naked women/girls. A nice, fluid style. Erotic in its own way. She has a blog with updates on her painting, plus images of inspiration.

We’ve been fans of this lady for a long time now, though we certainly weren’t the first to notice her. Whatever the case, Kawasaki’s cloud has taken flight in the past year or so, with no shortage of exhibitions and published works to her name. A beautiful style, best viewed while listening to Air’s “All I Need”. We’re sure this has been asked a dozen times, but the motorcycle-loving half of kissplease wonders if there’s any point in hoping for a collaborative effort between Audrey Kawasaki and the motorcycle company of the same name.

Fancy Hat

Kozyndan don’t actually focus on the erotic, but they don’t shy away from depicting nudity or sex, either. We love their style and the way they collaborate together to produce amazing pieces of art and illustration. These two are active on the net, updating their livejournal regularly with new pieces and fun stories from their travels and experiences.

Orbik

Orbik paints pretty much the raunchiest stuff we’ve ever seen. Orbik’s pulp fiction cover style is a beautiful form and it’s a treat to see that this old school approach is still being pursued decades after its time. Oishii.
